Western Lake Erie is known for its outstanding walleye fishing opportunities. Reel Therapy Sportfishing departs from Meinke Marina-West in Curtice, Ohio, conveniently situated between the reefs near the Camp Perry Firing Range and the mud humps of Maumee Bay.
During April, Captain Dan enjoys jigging for walleye around the western basin's spring fishing areas. Throughout much of the remaining walleye season, trolling is the primary fishing technique. Locations and methods depend on seasonal patterns, weather, and fishing conditions.

CHOOSE YOUR TRIP
$600 per charter
Our recommended walleye charter gives you more time on western Lake Erie. Seven hours allows Captain Dan greater flexibility to locate fish, adjust trolling patterns or jigging techniques, and respond to changing fishing conditions.
$500 per charter
Enjoy a shorter Lake Erie walleye fishing adventure with Captain Dan. This five-hour charter is a great option for families, beginners, or anglers with limited time. If your primary goal is to maximize your opportunity to catch walleye and fill your cooler, we recommend the seven-hour charter.
Trip timing: Both charter durations are measured from departure at the dock to return to the dock. Travel to and from the fishing grounds is included; actual fishing time varies with conditions and fishing location.
WHAT'S INCLUDED
Fishing rods and reels are included with your charter.
Captain Dan supplies the tackle and bait needed for your trip.
Your charter price covers up to four guests. A fifth or sixth guest is $75 extra per person.
Reel Therapy is primarily set up for four anglers. Five or six guests can be accommodated, but fishing space becomes more limited.

April is an exciting time for walleye fishing on western Lake Erie. Captain Dan uses jigging techniques to target spring walleye around the reefs near the Camp Perry Firing Range and the mud humps of Maumee Bay, depending on conditions.
Throughout much of the walleye season, Captain Dan primarily uses trolling techniques to target Lake Erie walleye. Fishing locations and presentations are adjusted based on seasonal movements, weather, and current fishing conditions.
Reel Therapy Sportfishing generally offers walleye charters from November through July. Fishing techniques, locations, and opportunities vary with weather, seasonal patterns, and lake conditions. All trips are subject to safe fishing conditions.
